Abstract

Summary On 25 July 1972, a shelduck-family was found at Sørlenangen (69°46' N 19°57' E). This is the first confirmation of breeding of Tadorna tadorna in Norway north of the polar circle in this century. Two former observations were described by Collett (1881) from the same region.
