Abstract
A new genus of the phasmatodean subfamily Pachymorphinae is described from Sri Lanka. The two species of Microphasma n. gen., M. prima n. sp., the type species, and M. secunda n. sp. belong to the smallest phasmids. The new genus is known only from the female sex and is endemic for Sri Lanka.
