Abstract
In the alloy CePd1-xRhxCePd1-xRhx, one observes the transition from a ferromagnetic (F) state at x=0x=0 to a valence fluctuating state at x=1x=1. We are performing a detailed investigation of the disappearance of the F-state in this alloy using AC-susceptibility, specific heat and thermal expansion measurements and present here preliminary results. Our results indicate a continuous decrease of the ferromagnetic ordering temperature TCTC with increasing x down to View the MathML sourceTC=0.25K at x=0.80x=0.80. This suggests that in this alloy the ferromagnetic order disappears at a quantum critical point placed around xcr≈0.85xcr≈0.85
