Abstract
We review the results of a series of measurements on single crystals of overdoped Tl 2Ba 2CuO 6+delta in magnetic fields as high as 18 tesla and temperatures as low as 12 mK. In the course of the project, properties such as the resistive upper critical field, the magnetoresistivity and the Hall effect have been studied in the Trarr0 limit, and unusual temperature dependences have been observed. We discuss the relationship between the normal state properties and various classes of theory that have been proposed to account for the observed behavior of the critical field.
