Abstract
Hydrostatic pressure experiments on single crystals of the magnetically ordered heavy fermion compound CeCu2Ge2 for P > 0.1 GPa revealed a pressure dependence of the magnetic ordering temperature (dT(N)/dP=-0.1 K/GPa), which can be brought into quantitative agreement with theoretical calculations. The results are suitable to explain a difference observed between the magnetic phase diagram of Ce(Cu1-xNix)2Ge2 and the calculated dependence of T(N) on the local exchange coupling constant g.
