Abstract
Mesostructured silica fibers constitute a class of highly ordered solidswhose reciprocal space consists of well-defined extended ring structures. Their X-ray diffraction spots cannot be described by the Bragg equation: As described here, they exhibit unusual intensity differences between symmetry-related spots and local minima arising from the circular fiber architecture.
