Abstract
Two superconducting toroid-coils of the electron cooler of the cryogenic storage ring at the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics were built up in this project. For their cooling, a liquid neon system is provided, which was stabilised succesfully. Therefore an automatic controlsystem was established. Moreover, it was analysed whether the magnetic guiding field of the electron cooler allows to perform an angle-resolved measurement of induced electrons.
