Abstract

For the first time Ischnopsyllidae are reported from Ivory Coast. They comprise three species of Lagaropsylla, one of which is described as L. senckenbergiana n. sp. (holotype male, in SMF). The hosts of the new taxon, Chaerephon russata and Ch. aloysiisabaudiae, and of Lagaropsylla spp., Ch. nigeriae, represent first records of these bats for Ivory Coast.
