Abstract
A partitioning scheme for photoelectron asymmetry parameters of linear molecules is proposed and applied to the resonant CO2 C2g+ ionization as well as the non-resonant N2 A 2IIu ionization. Rapid energy-dependent changes in photoelectron angular distributions can be rationalized by such a partitioning analysis.
