Abstract
The concept of "embodiment" recognizes the significance of the body in shaping thinking, emotions and behavior, with relevant consequences for understanding ‘mind-body-interaction’ in health and disease. We demonstrate findings on mechanisms of embodied cognition and interventions shaping body awareness as a basis of embodiment in everyday-life and in therapeutic settings.
