Abstract
The ASDEX Upgrade data acquisition environment has been extended by new diagnostics which considerably increase the amount of data acquired. The new diagnostics, as well as the server, storage, and network upgrades are presented. The status of the real-time delivery of measured and analysed data to the control system is given and the future directions are laid out. The enhancements to the remote participation framework at ASDEX Upgrade concern mainly the usability of the AUG Seminar room for informal discussions with remote participation. It will be shown how the design of the room accomodates the needs of people listening to a presentation or discussing topics in a big audience.
