Abstract
Chemical Exchange sensitive spin-lock (CESL) allows to observe the uptake of administered glucose in vivo; e.g. for tumor imaging. For application at ultra-high field whole-body scanners we implemented an adiabatic spin-lock sequence, which was shown to be insensitive to inhomogeneities in the RF field and thus leads to an improved image quality compared to conventional spin-lock. The sensitivity of the adiabatic spin-lock method was verified and for the first time a T1ρ-based dynamic glucose enhanced (DGE) contrast was observed in a brain tumor patient.
