Abstract
Body perception has been shown to directly influence perception and action; and to be highly adaptive to new multi-sensory experiences. As has been shown in many virtual reality 1st person perspective empirical studies, humans adapt to different sized bodies and body parts, but also attitudes are influenced based on the body we experience. I will focus on virtual reality, personalized self-avatars, body ownership and statistical models of bodies as useful mechanism and tools for investigating body perception, action and attitudes.
