Abstract
The adsorption of carbonmonoxide (CO) on palladium clusters evaporated onto a carbon substrate has been studied by photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS). Variations in the electron binding energy of the CO valence levels and an attenuation of the d-electron emission of Pd as a function of particle size has been observed.
