Abstract
Absorption of light by the exciton system of quantum molecular low-dimensional complexes (aggregates) is studied theoretically. It is shown that in the ground state, a rather low degree of disorder of H-aggregate impurities in the chain of J-aggregates causes a significant lowering of the J-band absorption intensity (along with the appearance of the H-band). A further increase in the degree of disorder of the impurities does not lead to a substantial rearrangement of the absorption spectrum of the system. There is no absorption in the case of the complete disorder. Published by AIP Publishing.
