Abstract
The second part of the taxonomic inventory of the Trichoptera of the Amazon Basin treats the family Hydropsychidae. Keys are provided to nine genera known or expected to occur in the area. The species of each genus are are keyed, figured, and their distribution given. Forty-nine species (of which thirteen are new) are placed in the genera: Smicridea (16 species), Leptonema (7 species), Neoleptonema (1 species), Macronema (18 species), Centromacronema (no species), Pseudomacronema (1 species),
Plectromacronema (1 species), Blepharopus (1 species), and Synoestropsis (4 species). Several synonymies are made in the genera Leptonema, Macronema, and Blepharopus.
