Abstract
Dekeyseria, new genus, is described with two species from the Central Amazon, Brazil:. D. amazonica n. sp. and D. scaphirhyncha (KNER, 1854) new comb., which is redescribed.
The interspecific differences between amazonica and scaphirhyncha and the variation found
among different populations of D. scaphirhyncha are discussed.
Differential keys are presented for the two cited species of Dekeyseria and for Dekeyseria and
the two related genera: Hemiancistrus and Peckoltia.
