Abstract
Pascherina lelras (Korsch.) Silva (Volvocales), a rare freshwater
flagellate, is recorded from lakes in East Holstein and thereby for Germany (FRG)
for the first time. This colonial green alga formed a mass development after icebreak
in Plußsee. The affinities of the genus are discussed.
