Zusammenfassung
Recently I described a phenomenon called the ''onset repulsion effect'' (ORE) in which the starting location of a moving object is mislocalized back behind the true starting point, that is, in a position that was never physically occupied. The ORE is interesting because it is in the
direction opposite to other well established errors, such as the Froehlich Effect and representational momentum, and also because a causal mechanism is not readily apparent. Here I discuss a new series of experiments exploring the ORE in the context of multiple object motion. Also, the influence of response type is examined by contrasting direct pointing with a new ''rewind'' method of reporting.
