Abstract
Several examples are presented demonstrating in-situ imaging of patterns formed at electrode surfaces. These include STM investigations on electrodeposition of Cu on Pt(100), the possibility for creation of localized (<5 nm) nanostructures on Au by very short (<100 ns) electrochemical pulses, as well as dynamic non-equilibrium patterns up to mm-scale from propagating potential waves imaged by surface plasmon microscopy and of luminescent convective patterns.
