Abstract
A research team’s experience of a qualitative research-learning process on “sacred consultations” in primary care was documented in a logbook. In the present article we share some reflections and suggestions concerning the challenges linked to the methodological and epistemological learning of qualitative research in primary care and the singularities of the navigation as a metaphor for the research experience. We reflect on the importance of jointly distancing and approaching the empirical ground and provide a summary model of the interrelation among methods, methodology and epistemology as a possible theoretical framework for the future development of qualitative research in primary care.
