Abstract
Some typical examples are presented for the investigation of vibronic properties of adsorbates on metal surfaces using high-resolution electron energy loss spectroscopy under the use of the new-generation Ibach spectrometers. Two examples—NH3/Ru(1121) and Cs/Ru(0001)—concern chemisorption and one is for physisorption of H2 on Ag(111). Finally, ozone production by electron bombardment of a thin O2 multilayer is described.
