Abstract
Membrane proteins have been, without a doubt, the most ditticult class of proteins for detailed structure analysis. The few atomic models reported so far represent merely the tiny tip of an iceberg, the huge proportions of which can still only be guessed at. As in the previous issues, the reviews in this section highlight some of the approaches that have produced interesting insights into membrane protein structure and function during the review period
