Abstract

This thesis is about the installation of a new subsystem for the MAGIC telescopes on LaPalma with the purpose of measuring the atmospheric transmission simultaneously to theregular data taking in order to improve the ability to correct for atmospheric fluctuations atvery high zenith angle observations.The thesis includes the physical build-up as well as the programming of it.
