Abstract
The hydrolysis of sucrose inside a cation exchange membrane loaded homogeneously with catalytically active H+ ions and catalytically inactive K+ ions is investigated. Special attention is focussed on the dependence of the reaction rate constant from the mole fraction of K+ ions inside the membrane.
