Abstract
Since many other aspects of membrane biology have already been covered, I wish to follow Prof. Schmitt's suggestion and focus on membrane transport. I should like to present some experiments on the effects of lead on the potassium permeability of erythrocyte membranes. These experiments may serve to illustrate some of the problems which arise if one attempts to interpret kinetic measurements on cell suspensions.
