Abstract
M-shell differential cross-sections for fast electrons were evaluated from photoabsorption data by using the dependence of the hydrogenic model's generalized oscillator strength on the momentum transfer. The values of the cross-sections thus found are in satisfactory agreement with the outcome of electron energy loss spectroscopy experiments and with Hartree-Slater calculations.
