Abstract
The application of the chemical iodometric determination of S(IV) and of a physical conductometric method allows to determine the activity of catalysts of biological origin (mainly manganese- and iron-contaminated litter of pinus species). The discrete measurement permits the investigation of many samples within a short time. A comparison of the results of these two methods, which are based on different analytical principles, allows to evaluate the results obtained by the conductivity method.
