Abstract
Photoelectron spectra of C60 and C70 were measured systematically at several photon energies
to explore the partial cross section behaviour. Strong oscillations were observed and are explained by a scattering model in which part of the photoelectron wave emitted from the
delocalized valence electrons is reflected at the center of the ball-like molecule. Similar but less pronounced behaviour was also observed for C70.
