Abstract
Auger spectra of the nitrogen molecule have been measured for photon energies up to 140 eV above the core level ionization threshold at 409.9 eV. They reveal many interesting features such as varying intensity and angular dependence of certain peaks as well as the occurrence of resonant features. In general, the photon energy dependence reflects conjugate processes, shape resonances, and discrete double excitations in the core level photoionization cross section.
