Abstract
As electron donor-acceptor [3.3]metacyclophanes with dicyanoquinomethane as acceptor unit in different sterical arrangements the syn- anti isomers 3 and 4 were synthesized. Charge-transfer interactions are discussed with reference to the isomerization of 4 and 3 and to the absorption spectra.
