Abstract

2019年和2021年发生在家门口的两起命案，引发作者对曼哈顿晨边高地这方小小角落历史的思考。本文回溯到60年代，哥伦比亚大学校方为学生的健身房项目，与毗邻哈勒姆区的黑人激进主义者发生冲突，因民权运动推波助澜，学生为支持黑人甚至发起了哥大历史上最大的一次抗议运动，健身房无疾而终。但是，这一抗争并未带来族裔歧视的改变，黑白分明的族裔边界今天依然是引发命案悲剧的根源。具体而微的晨边高地，正是美国政治社会问题浓缩的暗影。
