Abstract
New alkali metal thallideoxides, A(10)Tl(6)O(2) (A = K, Rb),
crystallize in a unique structure consisting of hypoelectronic
[Tl-6](6-) clusters in the shape of compressed octahedra, together with
oxygen-centred alkali metal octahedra that have been identified as
constitutive of alkali metal sub-oxides.
