Abstract
We study with 10-fs light pulses the ultrafast dynamics of light transmission through plasmonic 2D- and lD-nanocrystals. Two interfering transmission channels are identified: ultrafast non-resonant transmission due to photon tunneling, and time-delayed resonant re-emission of surface plasmons.
