Abstract
An approach to the controlled growth of single-walled carbon nanotubes is presented. Four precursor molecules for end-caps of different single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) were synthesized. One of them, intended for a (6, 6) armchair SWCNT, was used in the proposed synthesis scenario. Results based on SEM, TEM and Raman observations are presented and discussed.
