Abstract
The x-ray magnetic resonant scattering (XMRS) spectra of LaMnO(3) at the MnK edges are investigated theoretically from first principles, using the fully relativistic Dirac LMTO band-structure method. The electronic structure and XMRS spectra are obtained with the local spin-density approximation. The origin of the XMRS spectra for the LaMnO(3) compound is examined. Theoretical results are compared with available-experimental data.
