Abstract
Simple Synthesis of Nortricyclyl Chloride

In the presence of titanium tetrachloride the mixture of 5-exo-chloro-2-norbornene (2) and nortricyclyl chloride (3), obtained by HCl addition to norbornadiene (1), reacts completely to form 3. Thus, a simple synthesis of 3 is possible for the first time.
