要旨

Bacteriophage λ encodes three genes involved in bacterial lysis: SR and Rz localized in the right arm of λ DNA. These genes belong to the late operon, which is transcribed rightward from the late p’R promoter. Its transcription requires the Q protein for the antitermination (Friedman and Gottesman, 1983).
