Abstract
A new class of orbital symmetry controlled reactions which involve the simultaneous migration of two σ-bonds is discussed. Analysis of the stereochemical fate of the migrating groups in thermal and photochemical shifts, based on the Woodward-Hoffmann roles and supported by MINDO/2 calculations, is presented.
