Abstract
[Abstract of the book] With an increasing number of researchers of Ainu origin and foreign researchers, it is now possible to discuss the Ainu people and culture from a diverse and global perspective.
Four years after the opening of Upopoy, interest in the indigenous Ainu people and their culture is on the rise, and researchers from various fields such as cultural anthropology, sociology, linguistics, folk implement studies, and oral literature studies have been gathered together. This is an attempt to repaint the traditional view of the Ainu, which has been strongly influenced by Japanese history and culture.
