Mass spectrometric investigations confirmed the structure of the female produced sex pheromone of the horse-chestnut leafminer Cameraria ohridella Desch. and Dim. to be (8E,10Z)- 8,10-tetradecadienal. Pure samples prepared in a straightforward synthesis
