Abstract
The observation of non-thermal emission from astrophysical sources discloses the presence of in-situ accelerated charged particles. We analyse possibe scenarios for particle acceleration in relativistic jet sources such as AGNs, GRBs and Microquasars. Concepts to be discussed include first and second order Fermi acceleration, viscous shear and systematic centrifugal acceleration.
