Abstract
Two approaches have been developed and tested for the non- destructive beam profile imaging taking both advantage of sensitive charge integrators. The first one measures the charge distribution of thin foils placed directly into a 21 MeV proton beam. The second approach uses the internal targets of the HERA-B experiment in order to determine the beam profile in the halo of the HERA 920 GeV proton storage ring; the data are shown to be compatible with results obtained from the HERA-B vertex detector.
