要旨
Investigations of the behavior of flies (Musca) were recently undertaken by Reichardt and Wenking (1969) with the aim of studying and analysing the processes of detection and fixation of elementary visual objects. For this purpose a servo-system was developed which enables a test-fly to operate under “closedloop” conditions: that is to say, a fly by its flight-torque-response controls the angular velocity of its own surround.
