Abstract
Die Abgrenzung ist alles andere als einfach: Seit 2012 widmet sich das Max-Planck-Institut für Gesellschaftsforschung in Köln dem Themenfeld "Illegale Märkte". Doch nicht überall sind Herstellung, Vertrieb und Konsum gleichermaßen kriminell wie bei Drogen oder Kinderpornografie. Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiter und Doktoranden um Direktor Jens Beckert forschen zu Produktfälschungen in Argentinien, zum Abbau und Handel mit Diamanten in Sierra Leone, zum Handel mit Rhinozeroshorn und zu Finanzmarktkriminalität - ein Blick auf ein innovatives, wirtschaftssoziologisches Projekt.
