Abstract:
Orientational pairwise additivity, the expression of fluctuation-induced interaction between two extended bodies, was determined as the sum of a pair potential or the two-body interactions. The fluctuation-induced interactions between manifolds of arbitrary shapes at large separations were employed for the assessment of path-integral formulations. The pairwise additivity of Casimir interactions depended on the metallic boundary condition corresponding to a grounded or an isolated manifold.
