要旨
The negotiations of the DEAL consortia is so-far the most comprehensive action towards open access in Germany, and possibly worldwide; it challenges the traditional model of academic publishing. In July it was announced that the negotiations between DEAL and Elsevier, the largest academic publisher, were put on hold - for a second time. Are they over or will the dialogue continue? What are the next steps? Elephant in the lab asked Dr. Nick Fowler representing Elsevier and Prof. Dr. Gerard Meijer representing the DEAL consortium to answer these and other questions.
