Abstract: A novel Cryogenic Storage Ring CSR is under construction at the Max-Planck- Institut for Nuclear Physics in Heidelberg. Only electrostatic elements will be used in the injection beamlines, excluding the magnets for mass separation. Therefore nonrelativistic first order transport matrices were analytically calculated for an ideal deflector, an electrostatic quadrupole and the acceleration structures. There will be two ion sources, one operated at 300 kV and one at 60 kV respectively. Using a finite element calculation, the optical properties of a 90°-deflector with a hole, which is used to combine the beamlines coming from both sources, could be described by modifying the transport matrix of an ideal deflector. Another finite element simulation was done to describe the focussing effect at the entrance aperture of the acceleration tube. Some experiments at the CSR will use a stored beam, supplied by one ion source and a neutral ion beam produced via photodetachment of a negative ion beam coming from the other source. In order to store heavy molecules at high energies there is another possibility to inject from the 300 kV-source with an electrostatic deflector as bending element. MAD calculations and phase space matching are shown for all planned beam lines.
